Which activities are not disclosed
The following types of activities are not disclosed to the Finnish Transparency Register:
small-scale lobbying activities
ordinary dealings at government agencies
data collection for journalistic purposes
participation in working groups set up by the authorities or regulated by law, in advisory boards or similar multi-member bodies set up for a public task, and in hearings organised by Parliament or the ministries, the participation in which is documented
appearances at public meetings and public events
mass communication, sending of newsletters or customer letters
communication included in central government ownership steering
contacts made as an affiliated entity of a political party with the same political party's representatives, parliamentary assistants, ministers, special advisers to ministers and State Secretaries appointed for the term of office of the minister
lobbying consultancy provided to public-sector actors
communication the disclosure of which may endanger public or national security
acting as a rapporteur appointed by a public authority.
